I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, an aunt and great-aunt, and a teacher.  I have been teaching for forty years in public, private, and post-secondary classrooms. I have a master’s degree in English, with specialties in Nineteenth-Century British Literature. I have had National Board Certification as well as state certification.  Recently, I completed certification to teach AP Literature. Most of my career, I have taught high school English, but after a very brief retirement (all of one month!), I returned to teach middle school English, and I have found a new love.

I am an avid reader. I am also an avid photographer and crafter with paper.  I also knit and crochet.
